Double Date

Jared and I:
Cassie and Jason:
We went up Sundance to ride the ski lift and look at the gorgeous seasonal leaves. We had so much fun. We had a picnic afterwards. Look how pretty!

It was so beautiful the weather was great, and we had so much fun!
Cassie and I were friends back in 6th grade. We ran into each other after 5 years at college. It's great to get back in contact with her, and to have such a fun afternoon. I had a great time. Happy late birthday to me. =)

Aspen Grove 6 years later....

Jared and I met 6 years ago this past summer. Our first "real" get together was youth conference at Aspen Grove. We took pictures way back when, and we took updated pictures just a few weeks ago. Look how fun! (I wish I had the pictures from 6 years ago, but we don't have a scanner.... sorry everyone)

We had so much fun reliving the memories that seemed just yesterday. Man alive time flies!

A true Champion!

Tyson raced at MMHS and we were there to scream as loud as we could for our dear friend. He made a PR that day 17:51 for a three mile! It would have taken me nearly 17 days and 51 minutes to do three miles. Haha I hate running. Way to go TYSON!!! We are so proud of you! Good luck at Cedar City. =)

Orem vs Springville!

We went to the tigers vs the devils game up in Orem. Katelyn squared, Caitlyn and I had a great time with Everett, Garret, and many new people we met.

This was a very exciting game. We had tons of fun screaming, laughing, eating, and just being girls. Congrats tigers on winning by one point in the last 10 seconds of the game.

Eagle Scout!

The best Eagle Court of Honor I have ever been to. Jared received his Eagle, and the program was incredible. Holly, the live golden eagle, taught us of strength, love, courage, and endurance. It was so neat to see Holly in person and up close. She was incredible. Jared got to take some pictures near her. (it's a felony to touch her) anyway I hope to get those pictures updated soon. I am so proud of you Jared! Great job on getting your Eagle!!

But today was another amazing and great milestone for Jared. He was ordained an ELDER! He received the Melchizedek Priesthood today. His light has changed, he is ready for a mission. =)

I'm nineteen!

Everyone today I am so close to getting out of the teenage years. I am so excited. I had my family birthday dinner at Brick Oven and look at the new cream soda my sister got. It's my favorite color! Red, ENGINE RED!!
They sang happy birthday. Humiliating haha but to make things even more embarrassing I had to stand on my chair! Look at me... Oh my!
Well nothing else exciting happened for my birthday. It was quite the normal day. One year older. New adventures to have, and new trials to endure. Happy birthday to me...

Moose gave mom a huge surprise for her birthday. Look what happened to mom's birthday cake...
While we were outside enjoying the gorgeous weather, moose jumped onto the counter and licked all the frosting off mom's carrot cake. That cat is surely gonna die from a Diabetic Coma. Goodness!

Mom's Birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! My sweet mom is the best. I am so very grateful for every tiny thing she does. The last week while she was gone I "played" the role of mom, and she does a lot more than I have ever given her credit for! So we went to dinner for her birthday at her favorite restaurant. Can you guess?

Mom I love you! Happy birthday!!!

A Changed Decade...

Only 10 years ago today the  towers fell, the people cried, the Nation united, and heroes died. I am so very grateful for the soldiers, fireman, social workers, families, strangers, families, etc who helped out. Tragedy was meant to break us apart, but our strength changed us. We became a united nation. I will never forget sitting in my 3rd grade desk at the age of 8 and watching it on the TV. Our teacher tried to explain to us what happened, but we couldn't grasp it all. I know now how significant it truly was. God Bless America!

KIDNEY KAMP!

Every year for Kidney Kamp we go up to Aspen Grove. It's absolutely gorgeous! But not only do we have fun, eating, laughing, and doing crafts, but it changes my heart every single year. Here are just a few fun pictures to start.

We made masks, and pumpkins for our craft on Saturday morning. It was so much fun!
I can now check it off my bucket list everyone! I sat in the drivers seat of a semi, and we got to honk the horn!!! Totally loud! Goodness. Look at us all =)
Caitlyn, Katelyn2, Everett, Mindy, and Me. =)
I want to introduce you to 3 of the most inspiring individuals, my heroes, Camille, Macy and Jared.
This is Camille. She is 3 years old. She is on oxygen because of her life story. She was born at 23 weeks. Weighing a few ounces more than a pound. She needed a kidney transplant at the age of 2. She received a kidney, too big for her body. Since she hasn't grown into it yet it pushes too hard on her lungs, making it hard to breathe. At the age of 3 she is happy, full of life, and she inspires me! Camille you are incredible!
This darling girl is Macy. She is 7 years old. She is smaller than the average 4 year old in height and weight. she has one arm, and is full of life! She is darling. She loves to color, and she loves the color pink. She has a huge vocabulary and isn't afraid to talk to you. She loves people, and will warm up to you very quickly. She can do so many things despite her "challenge". She is capable of anything and everything! Macy you are amazing!
This is Jared. Isn't he precious?! This tender spirit has a heart full of love. He enjoys cars, loves making noises, and look at that creative and cute pumpkin he made. He will talk to you and tell you story after story. He is so fun! I cherish his "special" spirit. His down syndrome makes him that much more lovable. Jared, you encourage me to be happier.
This beautiful children come from such loving homes, and caring families. I am so grateful for the light they showed me, and the gratitude I have for my healthy body. I am so grateful for my Heavenly Father for small angels like these to give us hope.

Mom's Much Needed Vacation!

Everyone, my mom finally went on the long vacation she has deserved. Man alive I am so happy for her! She went to Mississippi to enjoy her family, and football. She went to 3 football games while she was there, her high school, Northwest game, and YES OF COURSE! BYU vs OLE MISS!!! She had a great time! Friends, family, food, and football. Her four favorite "F" words. =) We missed her while she was gone, but she needed a nice long stress-free vacation. Mom we love you!

Football gang! Homemade ice cream, and true blue all the way through. I love my family!!! Go COUGARS!!!

Labor Day!

It's my first week of college, and my mom has been gone for a week, so we decided it was time to escape to the beautiful mountains with family and friends for the weekend. It was a very great idea. We had a blast. I learned how to skip a rock for the first time! My 8 year old cousin Ryder taught me how. I skipped a record of 8 that day. We caught baby frogs by the lake, rode four-wheelers, ate tons of delicious food, had truck excitement, and everyone I went fishing. Better yet I CAUGHT MY FIRST FISH!!! It was so freaking fun.

Thanks dad, goose, greg, amy, and everyone else for a wonderful weekend! The lake was beautiful =)

1st Week of College!

I guess it's time to sit down and just write some of my thoughts. First of all this past Monday I started college. Can I just say WOW! I don't even know. I am so excited to be in college. It's great. I love all my professors. They are great. I love learning, and meeting new people so I guess college is my place right? Well my southern mama went to Mississippi and so not only am I starting out my first week of college, but I get to play mom. Cook, laundry, children to school, shopping for groceries, getting school fees paid, and then trying to get my car fixed. It's stressful, but I have learned so many things about myself in the last week. 1st being, life isn't as bad as it seems if you step back for a minute take a nice deep breath and prop up your feet. It can be beautiful if you just take a moment and see it for it's beauty. 2nd is that I never realized how much my mom does. goodness gracious! Mom, I love you, and I am SO very grateful for you. 3rd I can do anything I set my mind IF and ONLY IF God is on my team. Life is a gift, accept, take care of, and love it! <3
